25 Weeks

We made our first road trip together this week, Little Duck! We went to Rhode Island to visit my side of the family for your first baby shower. They all loved feeling my belly to say hi to you and see if they could feel you move. Your Grandma, Grandpa, and Great Grandmother all got to feel you move!! You made them very happy! You got a lot of wonderful gifts from a lot of people who already love you and can't wait to meet you. Lord willingly, we will be making a trip out there at Christmas for everyone to actually meet you!!!! They can't wait! But this time Daddy will be with us. So it will be our first family road trip! 24 Weeks

We've made it to 24 weeks! The weeks are starting to go by so fast now! You are moving around so much now. I even got to see you kick from the outside. It was so cool! I still smile every time you move. You are truly our little miracle. And I love you so much already I can't even explain it. Here is what I looked like at 24 weeks with you:

I went to the doctor's the other day and she said that you are growing right on schedule and seem to be a very healthy, active baby! That's my kid! :) I talk to you every time you move now. I have been told that you are learning my voice and outside voices. For that reason, your Dad also likes to come and talk to you. You respond to his voice a lot. He loves it! As always, I am praying for you, my sweet little one. You are so special to me and your Dad and I know God has wonderful plan for you!

Daddy Got to Feel You!

Well on May 16th you were moving around a lot! I could feel you from the outside and told your Daddy to hurry up and come over and try to feel you too. After a minute or two you started making your presence known and gave Daddy a nice strong fist pump or kick! He loved it!!!!!! He kept smiling. You move a lot when you hear his voice. I love that you are already recognizing him. It is truly amazing! We both love you so much already and can't wait to hold you!!!!!!!

20 Weeks!

Well, we are halfway there my little one! I can't believe it. I am so excited to hold you and see your sweet little face. Here is what I looked like with you at this time:

You are moving around so much lately. It is amazing. And an awesome thing happened while I was laying in bed tonight...I felt you kick from the outside!!! This was the first time! I really hope your Daddy can feel you kick soon too. I know he will  love it. Even right now I can feel you moving your arms and legs inside my tummy. And I can't help but smile while you do it. I thank the Lord every day for giving you to us. You were prayed for before you were even created. And every day and night I pray for you. Not just for while you are in the womb but also that we will be good parents that raise you the way the Lord wants. The verse that always comes to mind when I think of you is 1 Samuel 1:27 "For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him:" We want to raise you to love the Lord and want to live for Him. It is truly a joy to live for Him! You will see! I love you, Little Duck. More than you can possibly imagine.

Heard Your Heartbeat!

I got to hear your heart beating so quickly for the first time on February 29th...Leap Day! I was 10 weeks along that day. I was so excited I asked the nurse if I could go get your Dad from the waiting room so he could hear it too. When he heard it we both just smiled. It was amazing! It was the first time I truly realized you were there inside of me!

I'm Going to be a Mom!

Wow! I can't believe I am going to be a Mom! You were a wonderful early birthday present for me! I found out you were joining our family on Sunday, January 29th. I was really tired that day and stayed home from church. While your Dad was gone, I took a test and sure enough it was positive!

I was in shock! When your Dad came home, I couldn't even tell him, I just handed him the test. He couldn't stop smiling!! I was going to see your aunt, uncles, and cousins that weekend so I decided to tell them then. They were all excited as well!!! Right from the beginning you have been loved so much!

18 Weeks

We got to see you for the first time today, April 25th!!!! You are so cute already!

You are quite the little gymnast in there. You kept rolling over and crossing your legs. You didn't really want to sit still for pictures. That you get from your Dad. You also struck a pose for us flexing your little biceps. That is also so much like your Dad.

It was amazing to see you moving around and being so energetic. I couldn't stop smiling! When I saw you on the ultrasound for the first time a line from a song came to mind, "All at once everything looks different. Now that I see you." You already amaze me and I am so proud and honored to be your mother.
