Catching Up...Again!

Well, Caleb, you have kept me pretty busy! I will try to keep it short and just catch up. You are almost 7 months old now! I can't believe it!!!!!!!! You are changing and learning more each week. It is amazing. You hit 6 months and you suddenly became so much fun! You also started sleeping better once we switched you to soy formula. I bet the sleep helps you be more fun. :) Your daddy is really loving how active you are now. You laugh and smile whenever you see one of us. It's great! Here are your monthly pictures to catch up:

We also went to RI again a few weeks ago to see family with your Auntie, Tori, and Lucas. Uncle Kenny showed up and surprised us!!! It was so much fun and everyone loved seeing you and spending time with you. And we got to be there for Easter.

You started eating solid food around 5 months and seem to enjoy everything you try! Right now your favorites are sweet potatoes, peaches, and bananas. But you have also had applesauce, squash, peas, carrots, green beans, pears, and prunes. You say dada all the time now. Probably since around 5 1/2 months or so. Daddy loves it. I'm still waiting for mama. :) You also got your first tooth at 6 months!!! You have your second one ready to come any day now. You really like toys that play music. You are doing really well with your hands. You can pass things back and forth between hands and even put your pacifier in your mouth by yourself! You are just one amazing kid and I feel honored to be your Mommy! Well I have to go, you will be waking up from your nap any time now. Love you so much!!!!!!!!!!!

Getting so big!

I can't believe how big you are getting!!! You are already almost 4 months old. Doesn't seem possible. You have such a great personality for a baby your age. You have started to laugh and it melts my heart every time. You smile at Daddy and me all the time. And we love it!!!!!! You are also very smart and very strong. The faces you make are adorable and hilarious. We just went to visit your family in Rhode Island for your first Christmas!! They didn't want you to leave. Everybody loved you so much! For Christmas, Daddy and I went to Build-a-Bear and built you a teddy bear. We want you to have something that we made together specifically for you. We name him Moto Moto from the movie Madagascar 2. I'll explain it all to you some day. :) Well you are napping right now in your swing but will probably be waking up any time now. When I was holding you today and you fell asleep on my chest, it made me a little sad to think that you would outgrow this. So everyone once in awhile, come and snuggle with your Momma. I love you so much, Caleb Ray!!!!!!!!!!!!

Catching up

Well kiddo, you keep me quite busy these days so I haven't had time to write in awhile! You are getting so big!!!! Daddy and I can't believe it! You are also forming quite the personality. You have learned how to fake cry. It is amusing. You also learned how to pout this week. It is too cute! You smile at us now too and we love it. You recognize us and will smile when you see us. I love that you know who your Momma is! Another thing you like is when Daddy lifts you up in the air and walks around the house. It is one of the only things that calms you down. It's amazing. I will have to get a picture of it! You are finally starting to form a schedule at night. You go to bed between 10 and 11 and sleep for 4-5 hours, eat, and then go back to sleep for another 2-3 hours. I can't wait till you skip that nighttime feeding! But I love you dearly! You're Here!!

Well my sweet baby, you are here!!! I can't tell you how excited I was when your Daddy announced that you were a boy! You arrived on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 11:40 am via c-section. You weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and measured 19 1/2 inches long. I can't even describe the love I felt for you the first time I saw you! Your Daddy had the biggest smile on his face! When they brought you over to me so I could see you for the first time, you peed on me! Silly boy! Here is the picture we announced your arrival with on Facebook:

Your family was so excited to meet you. Along with me and your Daddy, your Mum, Grandpa Pratt, Auntie Shannon, Uncle Gary, and Justin were all there when you arrived! Although it has been an adjustment adding you to the family, I wouldn't change it for anything!!!! I love you, Caleb Ray!!!!!

36 Weeks

The doctor says you are growing at a great pace now! Even a bit ahead of schedule. That's my overachiever! You already are taking after your family in size! We went for an ultrasound to check your size and if the measurements are right, you would be around 9 lbs by your due date! Yikes! Here is the picture of you they gave me at the ultrasound:

What a cutie!!!! You didn't seem to like it though. The woman was trying to get you to face the camera and you were being stubborn so she started shaking my stomach and you
gave her a strong kick! She said it was the strongest she has felt in a long time. But you are growing and are doing great! And because you are growing, so am I! Here we are at 36 weeks:

38 Weeks

Well kiddo, we have made it to 38 weeks! You are still moving around quite a bit. You are most active between 1 am and 4 am. Luckily I don't mind being up at night! You are kicking and punching me pretty hard these days. I say it is because you want to get out. Well, you are more than welcome to come any time now! Your Daddy is getting more and more excited about meeting you every day. He loves you so much already, just like I do! We both have grown quite a bit over the past two weeks. Here we are at 38 weeks:

Every day I get closer to holding you in my arms. As scared as I am of the whole process and becoming a new mom, I am more excited to meet you and see your beautiful face for the first time. I can't even explain how much I love you already! Just waiting on you now, little one!

OH baby shower and maternity pictures

Well, some of your family from Rhode Island came and surprised us for your baby shower here in Ohio! It was so nice to see them!! Your Grammy kept talking to you and enjoyed feeling you move. She will be coming back soon to be there when you enter this world. As I've said before, you are already so loved!!!! The baby shower was amazing and we got some great gifts!
